IF - Old-Fashioned

Illustration Friday's word for the week was "old-fashioned." When I think of old-fashioned, I think of what my mom's side of the family does for weddings. My grandma, a few aunts, and my own mother had copied my great-grandmother bouquet when she had gotten married. It had day lilies and a few other very pretty flowers in it. So, I drew these day lilies not only because they are an old-fashion thing for me but because they are also my favorite flowers.

Proverbs are sayings such as "Make love, not war." and all I could think of is the saying about flies, vinegar, and honey. I thought my sketch was pretty awesome, so I ended up just Live Tracing it. I wanted to try to add colour, but I had thought it took away from the actual raw sketch.
